Steve Rixon

Steve Rixon, Skahana, Union Hall, died peacefully on Thursday 12th December, 2024, in the outstanding care of the staff in Marymount Hospice who had cared for him with such love and care. Our appreciation to them is deeply felt and will never be forgotten. Our sincere thanks to Dr, Don Creagh in Skibbereen for all his kindness and support to Steve over the years. To Michael McCarthy and staff in Drinagh Pharmacy for their help and attention.

 

Steves' loss as a father and husband is incalculable. His kindness, gentleness and sense of humour was known to all his children Jessica, Katie, Becky, Dan and Christopher and many grandchildren whom will have wonderful memories of a special force in their lives.

 

Eileen, his wife is grateful to have shared many happy years filled with laughter and music.

 

Steve's sister, Joe, deeply feels his loss and we are thinking of his sisters-in-law Karen and Rachel, Brother-in-law Shaun and son-in-law Ger, Mike and Rob, Daughters-in-law Janice and Chloe, and including nieces and nephews, Ollie, Cara, Johnny, Jos and Meg, who all loved him.

 

Many thanks to our extended family, friends and neighbours especially Frances and Billy Newman and his many loyal customers over the years.

 

Steve much appreciated the many Novenas and Prayers said for him over the last 3 years by those who knew him.

 

Steve's Funeral is a private immediate family event in accordance with his wishes.
