Stuart McDonnell

Oldtown, Dublin / Kilsallaghan, Dublin

McDonnell, Stuart (Oldtown & Killsallaghan) – April 26th 2020 surrounded by the never ending love of his adoring wife Louise and his parents Teresa and Brian. Stuart’s bravery, graciousness and dignity was and will always be an inspiration to his family especially  Ruth, Hannah and Robert; brothers-in-law Liam, Colm and Aiden, sister-in-law Catherine and his mother-in-law Anne; nephews and niece Alex, Lucas, Noah, Hugh, Harriett, Adam and Ronan; great-aunt Lily and his loyal pal Bruce. His strength was matched only by one other person his late brother Killian who was his Superhero. He will be missed by many including his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbours and colleagues.

A private family funeral will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but cannot due to current restrictions, may leave a personal message in the section, “Condolences” below or on www.kirwans.ie A web stream of Stuart’s Requiem Service will be available at https://youtu.be/9Ne5fMALoNQ on Friday at 1 o’clock.

 

The family will be forever grateful to a lot of people for the love and care afforded to Stuart but would like to especially mention all of the staff of St. Brigid’s Ward, the Dialysis Unit and the I.C.U. at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Elm Park and especially Dr. Ross MacNicholas, Dr John Holian and Marilyn Go for keeping the toughest mo’fo going! Stuart was an organ recipient and spent everyday grateful for receiving the greatest gift anyone could receive and in his memory the family would urge anyone and everyone to think about becoming an organ donor.
