Susan Fenlon

Our beloved sister, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, auntie and friend Susan Fenlon passed peacefully in her home in Holland on Tuesday 26th September 2023.

 

Susan was a strong independent woman, born to Mary and Brian Fenlon on 25th May 1972 , who was not only brave but had a deep sense of justice and connection to her family. From a young age Susan sought independence moving from home to seek her own path at the age of 17, travelling to Germany, Spain and Holland where she met the father of her children Jeff. Susan had two children Kimberley and Conor whom she loved, deeply and two beautiful grandchildren Chiara and Guiliano. Susan is survived by her three sisters Sinead, Marguerite and Maeve and her two brothers Emmett and Brian Og. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew her, laughed with her, cried with her and sought her confidence.

Peace with those who have gone before her, forever remember by those she left behind.

They say it gets easier,

Regardless of how you feel.

Just be patient, your heart will heal.

Give it time, that's the only cure.

Well, I keep waiting, I'm just not so sure.

Everyday that goes by, I miss you a little more.

Everywhere I go, it's you l look for.

When I open my eyes each morning, when I close them every night,

I expect for you to be there right by my side.

What does it really mean to say you're in my heart?.

You took it with you because you had all of it from the start.

With everything in me, I try to be okay.

I try to be strong and keep going each day.

But if I'm being honest, I'm putting on a brave face pretending to have faith when that's not the case.

Uncertainty is all I know for sure.

It's hard to see past today.

I'll never stop asking why you just couldn't stay.

Time keeps moving on but one thing will never change.

A love like ours is forever and I can't wait for that day.

I think about it often, just how it will be.

How I'll run straight to you and we'll start our eternity.
