Susan Woods
(née Byrne)
Susan Woods (née Byrne) of Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly of Athgarvan Co. Kildare and Carlow. Peacefully, following a short illness bravely borne, in the loving care of the nurses and staff of St. Brigid’s Hospice, the Curragh, surrounded by family. Daughter of the late Michael and Margaret Byrne of Athgarvan, and predeceased by her son Gavin. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Sadly missed by her loving husband J.J., daughter Sonja, son Keith, grandson Ethan, and Sonja’s partner, Glen, her brothers Michael (Cristina), Peter (Neila) and Sean (Marion), nieces, nephews, cousins, a wide circle of friends and her beloved dog, Bambi.
Reposing at George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 CD0K, from 1pm to 4pm with prayers at 3:30pm on Sunday, 25th January 2026.
Funeral mass at 10:00 on Monday, 26th January 2026 in the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas, followed by burial at St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas.
