Sylvia O'Donovan
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Sylvia O’Donovan, Mayfield, Cork, who passed away on 5th January 2026, unexpectedly but peacefully at home. Sylvia (née O'Brien) Adored mother of Diane, Rachel, Shane and Stephanie. Predeceased by her sister Alison.
Sadly missed by her loving family, grandchildren Maddie, Mia, Lewis, Penny, Reuben, Mabel, Sofía and Rían, sons-in-law Emmet, George, Ben, daughter-in-law Rebeca, sisters Mary, Angela, brother Eddie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Old Youghal Road, Mayfield, Cork, on Thursday, the 8th of January, from 5-6pm, with prayers at 5:45pm. Requiem Mass on Friday, the 9th at 11:00am in The Church of Our Lady Crowned, Mayfield, which will be live streamed Here
Followed by burial in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Kilcully
