(née McMahon)
Sylvia Whelan (nee McMahon) late of Portlaoise and formerly Kimmage Rd. West, Dublin. Died peacefully, on the 14th of April 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her father Michael, mother Eleanor and sister Violet. Sylvia will be greatly missed by her devoted husband Paraic her sister Corrina and her aunt Rosalie, Brothers-in-law, Donnacha and Séan Whelan and sister-in-law .Maura Shaffrey (RIP), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, family and many friends.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 4 pm with rosary at 7 pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday, 17th April, in SS Peter and Pauls Church, Portlaoise.at 12 noon . It may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Cremation will follow on Tuesday in Newlands Crematorium at 11.30 am. .Donations if desired, to Laois Hospice.
