Teresa Shanahan
(née Downey)
On April 15th 2023, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of Bantry General Hospital.
Teresa, beloved wife of the late Liam, devoted mother to Tony, Carol, Ann, Deirdre, Siobhán, Micheál and Liam. Adoring grandmother to David, Kiefer, Ella-Rose, Aoife, Laura, Micheál, Emma, Eva, James, Grace, Eoin, Sophie and great-grandmother to Áine. Sadly missed by her loving family, sister Noreen, brother Finbarr, sisters in law, brother in law, sons in law Tom, Conor and Declan, daughters in law Julie and Mary, partners, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at O’Regan’s funeral home, Ballydehob, on Monday, 17th April, from 6pm – 8pm followed by prayers. Requiem Mass Tuesday, 18th April, at Saint Brigid’s Church, Ballydehob, at 12 noon with burial afterwards to St. Patrick's Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.
At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to “Friends of Bantry General Hospital”
