Teresa (Tessie) GILMARTIN

The death has occurred of Teresa (Tessie) Gilmartin (née Sweeney) Arigna, Co. Roscommon. formerly of Carnaguilta, Drumnacool, Co. Sligo.

April 14th 2026, peacefully, in her 94th year, in the tender care of the nurses and staff in Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle.

 

 

Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Joe.

 

Teresa will be sadly missed by her sons Padraig, Seamus, Tony, Gerard, Joseph and Damien, daughters Mary, Teresa and Edel, sons-in-law,

daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and her many close friends.

Reposing at Shivnan’s Funeral Home, Ballyfarnon (F52WT26) on Thursday evening, April 16th 2026, from 5p.m. until 8p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the B. V. M. Arigna, on Friday (April 17th) at 12

noon, followed by interment afterwards in Kilronan Cemetery.
