Teresa (Treas) Brennan

The death has occurred of

Teresa (Treas) Brennan
(née Nolan)

Artane, Dublin

Brennan, Teresa, (Treas, née Nolan) – 8th September, 2025, (Artane and formerly of Woodland View, Dillon’s Cross), Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home. Treas was the last of eight beautiful Nolan sisters, and her beloved brother Jack, beloved wife of the late Patrick (Pat) and loving mother of Cathy, David, and Rory, very sadly missed by her sons and daughter, sons-in-law Pat, the late John, daughters-in-law Catherine and Merran, grandchildren Aisling, Rory, Maev, Joe, Niall, Jenny, Aoife, Finnbar and Sinéad, great-grandchild Myles, and the soon-to-arrive new great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, extended family in Dublin, Cork, Wexford, Toronto, Sydney and Coimbra, and many friends and neighbours.

Treas is remembered for her gentle good humour and wit, her kindness and class, and the pleasure she took in the pursuit of victory at Countdown, Scrabble and Bananagrams, the latter two being the only occasions when she would ever utter a naughty word. She loved poetry, both in English and as Gaelige, in particular when the subject intersected with her interests in nature and land. A talented artist, she also loved her art classes at Klear; her love of adventure took her to far flung corners of the globe, and she continued to travel well into her nineties. She loved a summer gin & tonic, a glass of wine, and was always too polite to refuse the offer of a top-up.

"May Teresa gentle soul rest in peace."
