Theresa Cunningham

The death has occurred of Theresa Cunningham, Slievefinn, Claregalway on June 17th 2024 in Boston U.S.A after a courageous battle with motor neurone disease. Predeceased by her parents, John Joe and Bridget Cunningham. Sadly missed, by her siblings, P.J, Mary, Gerry, Martin, Pauline, Donie, Bridie, Francis and Martina. Her brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, the 22nd of July 2024, at St. Brendan’s Church, Corrandulla (H91HN83) at 11 am. Mass will be live-streamed at www.churchtv.ie/corrandulla and broadcast on parish radio. If you would like to offer your condolence to the family you can do so in the condolence section below.

Theresa was diagnosed with ALS a form of Motor Neurone disease on September 25th 2023. After a brave and courageous battle, Theresa passed away on June 17th 2024. This is a place where you can join me in remembering, celebrating and paying tribute. Together we can share memories and support one another.

At the same time, you are also doing something wonderful for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. Together, we are helping to fund a frontline nursing service, home care hours and critical equipment that's needed to keep people at home and maintain independence for as long as possible.
