Thomas Devane

Formerly of Coolourty, Tuam, Co. Galway and Luton, England

On Friday night, 3 May, Thomas died peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Galway Hospice. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Julia and by his brothers Aidan, Mick and John.

Deeply mourned by his loving and much-loved wife Christina, sons Tom, Mike, Paul and Adrian and their families; daughters-in-law Elizabeth, Majella, Neesha and Karen and his adored grandchildren Conor and Rachel, Katie, Kelly and Jennifer, Arvanan, Arul and Thomas and Robyn and Romy. Fondly remembered and sadly missed by his brothers and sisters Mary, Joe, Jim, Breege, Phil, Frank, Bernie, Paraic, Mattie, Anne, Vinnie and Judy and by the extended family, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue on Monday, 6 May from 4 p.m. with removal at 6 p.m. to Galway Cathedral. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Thomas on Tuesday, 7 May at 12 noon and following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.
