Thomas J. (Tom) O'Neill

The death has occurred of Thomas J. O’Neill (Tom), Stella Maris Nursing home, Cummer and late of Killamonagh, Caherlistrane, Co. Galway, 21st of January 2026, peacefully at University Hospital Galway in the wonderful care of all the doctors and nurses. Pre-deceased by his son Dr. Michael John, his parents John and Mary, brothers Paddy, Fr Michael, Josie and Christy, sisters Margaret (Fahy) and Maisie (Kelleghan).

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary (Meeneghan), son Kevin, daughter Caitriona, daughters-in-law Colette and Nicole, son-in-law Liam, grandchildren Nicole, Ryan and Sean, sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Tom’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Carey’s Funeral Home, Claran Road, Headford (H91 E6X9) on Saturday evening 24th January from 6pm with removal at 8pm to the Church of Mary Immaculate and St. Joseph Caherlistrane (H91 E4X6). Funeral Mass for Tom will take place on Sunday afternoon January 25th at 1.30pm followed by burial in Donaghpatrick Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/caherlistrane.
