RYAN, Thomas (A proud Dub) late of Drumcondra, Bayside Sutton, Riverstown, Collooney, Co. Sligo, and Merrick House, Terenure, Dublin. Formerly of Independent Newspapers, Blue Cabs, Premier Dairies, and The Sligo Park Hotel, 17th April 2020 (Peacefully) at Beneavin Lodge Nursing Home Glasnevin, beloved husband of the late Sadie, loving father to Raymond, Imelda, Cathy, Eddy, Mark, Sarah, Conor and Brendan, he will be sadly missed by his loving children, grandchildren Ffion, Thomas, Nancy, Patrick, Brendan, Rory, Kate, Lola, Lucia, Nathan, John, Daniel, Molly, Hope, Maya, Shay, and Leah, sons-in-law Matthew, Paul and Johnny, daughters-in-law Sonia, Fiona, Kate and Thu.

May he Rest In Peace.

Knowing all his children are ever so grateful that he was their Daddy.

A true gentleman who consistently said he had a wonderful life, he enjoyed travelling the world, with Cuba as his favourite destination, and enjoyed having a few pints when he retired.A super snooker player who played against the greats; Alex Higgins, Dennis Taylor, Jimmy White, and he bet Silvino Francisco (World Champion) when he visited the Embassy Snooker Club, Co. Sligo.He was a very handsome man, in his 20’s he even had a snog with Joan Collins after meeting her in a Fish and Chip Shop in Dublin!!.After spending two years in the early 1960’s as a monk in a monastery in Kilkenny, he said:

"Heaven is a state of mind"

 

In keeping with the current government guidelines regarding public gatherings, a private Funeral will take place.
