Thomas (Tom) Bourke

The Bourke family, with the greatest sadness, has asked for the following announcement to be made.

Thomas passed away peacefully at University College Hospital in his ninety third year. Born and raised in Newbrook, County Mayo, Thomas read Botany, Chemistry, Materia Medica and Pharmacy before qualifying as a Chemist. He met his wife Regina Cooney (London Foot Hospital) on her return from Bilbao, Spain and they married in 1959.

Thomas is predeceased by his beloved Regina, survived and remembered fondly by his sons, Roderick, Karl, Niall, Thomas, James and William.

Sincere gratitude to Consultant Mr Ruairi Waters for his exceptional care of Thomas at UCH this week.

Cortege to depart Fairlands Park at 11.00am on Monday morning, May 3rd, to the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6.
