Thomas (Tom) Carey

Thomas A. Carey (Louis) – Saint Alban’s Park, Dublin, previously of Dillon’s Cross and Monkstown, Cork (P.J Hegarty & Sons) died peacefully, aged 93 years at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, in the presence of loving family on 13th December, 2025.

Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Caravousanos - Carey (nee Day) and father of Siobhan, Tadhg, Noreen, Moira, Sean, Tom and stepfather to Claire, Tony and the late Loretta. Also predeceased by Noreen (nee Twomey) the mother of his children.

Deeply missed by his daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, surviving siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren in Ireland, Australia, Canada, and USA, extended family and friends. Proud past Captain, President and honorary lifetime member of Monkstown Golf Club, Cork.

Rest in peace Tom.

Funeral Ceremony to celebrate Tom’s life will take place on Thursday (18th December) at 2.30pm in Mount Jerome Crematorium Chapel, followed by cremation and then laid to rest privately in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin alongside his beloved wife Lorraine.
