The death has occurred of
Thomas (Tom) Lyons
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Thomas (Tom) Dominic Lyons (Portmarnock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Churchfield, Cork) who passed away suddenly and peacefully at Beaumont Hospital on 30 June 2025 after a short hospitalisation. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Arline, brother Leonard and sister May, and sadly missed by his sister Helen, daughter Arline and son William (Bill), their partners David and Austa, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends including former colleagues at the Department of Foreign Affairs. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Hardwicke Ward of Beaumont Hospital for their excellent and loving care and for keeping Tom’s spirits high in his last days.
Repose on Saturday 5 July 2:00–4:00 pm at Staffords Funeral Directors, Strand Road, Portmarnock, and removal on Monday 7 July to Dardistown Crematorium, arriving for 10:00 am service.
