Masterson, Thomas (Tom) (Jobstown, Tallaght and St Maelruans Park) 20th February 2026. Passed peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tallaght University Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Tricia, and loving dad to Wayne, Martin, Thomas, Susan, Rhys and Dion. Tom will be forever loved and always remembered by his loving family, brothers James, Bernard and Lester, sisters Cecilia, Helen, Mary and Christine, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his much loved and cherished grandchildren Ryan, Ashlyn, Ciaran, Sophie, Mia, Macey, Ruby, Calvin, Esme and George, extended family, friends and neighbours.

May Tom’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Fanagans Funeral Home, Tallaght Village, on Tuesday (24th February) form 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday (25th February) at 10am, in St Aengus Church, Tallaght following onto Bohernabreena Cemetery.

Tom’s family have asked that people wear colourful clothes to the Funeral Mass as per Tom’s own wish. Please also see below a message from Tom’s son in relation to donations in his dad’s honour.

I am reaching out to share a heartfelt initiative that means a lot to me. During my father's final journey, the family was fortunate to have access to armchair recliners at Tallaght Hospital. These chairs provided us with much-needed comfort during an incredibly difficult time, and I cannot express how much that kindness meant to us.

Now, I want to give back to the hospital and other families who may find themselves in similar situations. I am raising funds to purchase an armchair recliner for Tallaght Hospital, so others can experience the same comfort and support that we did. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help make a difference in the lives of families facing challenging moments.
