Thomas (Tommy) Curran

Mountain View, Oldcastle, Meath

The death has occurred of Thomas Curran, Mountain View, Oldcastle, Co. Meath on Saturday 5th November. Tommy, a lifelong member of the Oldcastle community will be sadly missed by family, friends and neighbours. He leaves behind his beloved wife Paula, children Grace, Stephen, Aoife, Bronagh,Tony & Paul, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, his sister Maura and his brother Michael. He will be buried in Oldcastle cemetery next to his first wife, Margaret Curran (nee Crolly). An active member of the community, Tommy dedicated years of his life to the foundation & maintenance of Oldcastle Credit Union, he spent over a decade delivering post to the town's residents and nurtured a love of motorsport with the formation of the Castle Motor Club along with his older brother Sean (deceased). He was also heavily involved with the local Fianna Fáil and Civic Trust.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 11am with prayers at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St. Brigid's Church, Oldcastle, with burial afterwards in local cemetery.
