Thomas (Tommy) O'Donovan

O’DONOVAN (38 McCurtain Hill and O’Donovan’s Hotel, Clonakilty): on March 18th 2026 suddenly. Thomas (Tommy) dearly loved husband and best friend to Gobnait (nee O’Ríordan), doting father of Edel, Tom, Dan and Sarah, much loved brother of Therese, Val, twin Dena, Angela, Carol and the late Ann. Lovingly remembered by his wife, family, mother-in-law Peggy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, staff and customers of O’Donovan’s Hotel, relatives and many friends.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Sunday, March 22nd 2026 from 3pm to 6pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday, March 23rd 2026 at 1pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty. This will be livestreamed here. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clonakilty.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired to Horizons (Cope Foundation) or Clonakilty Community Hospital.

Rest In Peace

Tommy’s Funeral Cortege will leave the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Clonakilty after Requiem Mass, proceeding via Oliver Plunkett Street, Edward Twomey Street, Kent Street, Rossa Street, Pearse Street and onwards to St. Mary’s Cemetery.
