Pre-deceased by his parents Timothy and Bridie and by his brother Seán
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Tim completed his life’s journey with the ‘Dawn Chorus’ which was so appropriate for Tim considering his passion and love for wildlife and birds. He died peacefully at the Galway Hospice with his devoted and much-loved wife Nuala by his side.
Mourned by his wife and by his sister Carmel Murphy and her children James, Paula, Timothy, Leo and Sinéad, brothers Gerald, his wife Maudie and their children Karla and Philip, and by Pat and his wife Nora and their children Mark, Brian and Ciara.
Tim will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Joseph Devitt and his children Rory and Emma, his friends in ‘Bird Watch Ireland’, former colleagues at the Mercy Secondary Schools in Templemore and Galway, kind neighbours and friends.

Reposing at ‘St. Anthony’s Room’ within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra from 5p.m.
Removal at 6.30 p.m. into the Church.
Thursday, 23 January 2025
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tim at 12 noon.
Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in St. Cronin’s cemetery, adjacent to St. Cronin's Church in Balla, Co. Mayo.
