Timothy (Ted) Abbott

On April 23rd, 2025, TED, peacefully passed away in in his 90th year of life, in the presence of his family, at Bantry General Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Bridie (née Henry). Predeceased by his parents Mary and Tim, sisters Maura and Sr. Elizabeth Abbott DHS., brothers Michael and John. Deeply mourned by his daughters Mary Anne, Sarah, Kathleen, Elizabeth, his son Timothy (Tadhg), his adored grandchildren Elaine, Martin, Mathew, Calum and Fionn, his sisters Kathleen McInerney, Bernadette Hannon and Sr. Margaret Abbott DHS., brother Patrick, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

May he rest in peace.

Ted's family would like to thank, all the staff at Bantry General Hospital and Castletownbere Community Hospital, the G.P.s and his wonderful home help team for the care and kindness shown to Ted and his family in recent years, it is very much appreciated.

Reposing at Coakley’s Funeral Home Chapel Street, Bantry on Friday April 25th, from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 7pm followed by removal to St. Fachtna's Church, Adrigole. Requiem Mass on Saturday April 26th at 12noon with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
