Tom Brodie

Baily Point, Salthill, Galway / Ennis, Clare

It is with deep sadness that Tom’s family say a fond farewell to a very special husband, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Tom died in the early hours of Sunday, 8th February 2026 in the great care of the Galway Hospice.

Dearly beloved husband and best friend of Peig (née McGrath) and much-loved brother of Treasa Browne. Predeceased by his parents Bertie and Violet and brothers Anthony and Michael.

Mourned by his wife Peig and sister Treasa and also by his sisters-in-law Deirdre and Kathy, nephews and nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Arrangements

Thursday, 12 February 2026

Tom will lie in Repose at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5 p.m. Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6.30 p.m.

 

Friday, 13 February 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tom at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Mass will be live streamed. Link: https://mcn.live/Camera/christ-the-king-church-salthill

Memorial donations if desired to the Galway Hospice.

 

 

 

Parking and the Entrance to the funeral parlour.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance, on foot, from Fr. Burke Park. Thank you.

Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Difficulty in parking on Munster Avenue due to road works.

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.

 

If you are travelling to Galway, please be aware there are traffic delays due to Road works in the area, also outside the Church in Salthill and all around the City.
