Tom HYLAND

HYLAND, Tom “Malae Maubere”, late of Dili, East Timor and originally Ballyfermot, Dublin, former CIE and founder of the East Timor Ireland Solidarity Campaign (ETISC), passed away peacefully, after a long illness, on the 24th of December 2024, in the care of the staff at Guido Valadares National Hospital, Dili, East Timor. Pre-deceased by his sister Mary; Tom will be very sadly missed by his brother Jimmy, sisters Ellen and Marcella and all his extended family along with his many friends and colleagues including those in East Timor, all considered family and of which there are too many to mention.

 

A Memorial Mass for Tom will be held on Saturday, 25th of January 2025, at 3pm in the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Ballyfermot, D10 NC84.

 

All are welcome to attend the Mass to celebrate Tom’s life.
