It is with deep sadness that the Hyland family shares the news of Tom's unexpected but peaceful death with you.
Tom died in the early hours of Tuesday, 6th January, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Dearly beloved husband of the late Rhona, and much-loved father of Kate, Mark, Fiona, and Lisa.
He will be very sadly missed by his partner Eileen, daughters and son, sons-in-law Kieran and David, daughter-in-law Agnieszka, his adored grandchildren Alayna, Emma, Louise, Anna, Henry, and Sophia, brothers John and Christy, sisters Kitty and Mary, relatives, colleagues, and many friends. Tom was much loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Arrangements
Thursday, 8th January, 2026
Tom will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, H91V1K8 from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. There will be no Removal to the Church this evening.
Friday, 9th January, 2026
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tom on arrival at St. Joseph's Parish Church, Presentation Road at 11 a.m. and following Mass he will be laid to rest with Rhona in Rahoon Cemetery.
Mass will be live streamed.

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Parking may be scarce on Munster Avenue.
Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
