Tom Killeen

Tom passed away peacefully on March 29, under the loving care of the staff at Rushmore Nursing Home, Galway. Beloved husband of the late Ursula and much-loved father of Anne, Joan and Róisín. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose and by his siblings Mary, Michael, Kathleen, Liam and Sean.

 

He will be very much missed by his daughters, grandchildren Sara, Emer, Catherine and Daisy, his sister Nancy (Sr. Anne), sons-in-law Mark and Donal, the extended Killeen and Kelly family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral arrangements

Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026

Tom will lie in repose at the O’Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91 V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill.

 

Monday, 6th April 2026

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tom at 11.00 a.m. Livestreaming link: https://www.mcn.live/Camera/christ-the-king-church-salthill

Following Mass, he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Ursula in Rahoon cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Tom to the Galway Hospice.

Parking Information

Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park.

 

Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street, Sea Road, The Crescent, Dr. Colohan Road.

 

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.

 

There is limited space for the immediate members of Tom's family within the grounds of the funeral parlour. Some space is reserved for guests with mobility needs. Because it is used by those who may need to come and go, it cannot be held for the full duration of the funeral.
