Tom Shaughnessy

Tom Shaughnessy, Shanbally, Corrandulla, Co. Galway, 6th February 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff at Brooklodge Nursing Home, Ballyglunin, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Nell (née Forde). Deeply regretted by his son Padraic and partner Meg, grandsons Enda and his partner Rachael, and Kenneth, their mother Margaret, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends. Tom is also pre-deceased by his brothers, sisters and their spouses, Francis, Mary Monaghan (Dennis), Cáit Moylan (Eddie) and Sean (Lily).

Reposing at Corrandulla Mortuary Chapel (H91 HN83) on Sunday evening February 8th from 5pm with removal at 7pm to the adjoining Church. Funeral Mass for Tom will take place on Monday February 9th at 11am in St. Brendan’s Church Corrandulla (H91 HN83). Burial afterwards in Corrandulla Cemetery. Mass can be viewed live on www.churchtv.ie/corrandulla and broadcast on parish radio at 106.6fm. Family flowers only by request. Donations if desired to the Galway Hospice.
