Tom Sheedy

The death has occurred of Tom Sheedy, Le Barcarès, France and formerly of Brookville Avenue, Clareview, Limerick.

 

Tom passed away peacefully in hospital in Perpignan on 5th March 2024, just a couple of months away from his 80th birthday, after an illness borne with typical stoicism and good spirits.

 

 

Predeceased by his beloved wife Nellie.

 

Sadly missed by his son Mark and Tracey, his brothers Gordon and Anthony, sister Mary, in-laws and a wide circle of friends in his native Limerick and his adopted home in Le Barcarès for the past two decades. Tom will also be sadly missed by his former work colleagues in Aer Rianta, Shannon Heritage and Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Tom’s funeral service will take place at Canet en Roussillon crematorium on Monday, 11th March at 10 am and all are welcome to attend.
