Tom (Thomas) Lowthe

LOWTHE, Tom (Thomas) (Dunboyne, Co. Meath and formerly of Duleek, Co. Meath). Peacefully (in his 91st year) on January 17th 2026, in the wonderful care of the staff of the Silver Birch Unit at Connolly Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Mary and his sisters Chrissie, May and Terry. Tom will be very sadly missed by his daughter Janet, sister Ann (Duleek) and brother Kevin (Australia), cousins, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours, especially Jim and Jimmy.

 

May he rest in peace.

 

House private. Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Dunboyne on Tuesday evening (January 20th) from 5pm followed by a removal to the Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, Dunboyne arriving at 7pm.

 

Tom’s Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday morning (January 21st) at 11am in the Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, Dunboyne followed by burial in Rooske Cemetery (Old Rooske).

Heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff of Silver Birch Unit for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion during Tom's stay. Also, to Janet's much valued friends Deirdre and Philip, her work colleagues Sinéad and staff of McElroy's Pharmacy, Breda, friends and neighbours for their wonderful support. To Fr Pat O'Connor PP Dunboyne, Fr Tony and Rev. Trevor (the Chaplains in Connolly), the Doctors and staff of Dunboyne Medical, Dr Patricia Guilfoyle Holly Day, Dunboyne Cardiac First Responders, Collins, Joyce, and all the carers from 'The Good People’ Dunshaughlin for their wonderful care over the last number of years, and to anyone who helped him along the road of life, míle buíochas to you all .
