On Wednesday, 8 May 2024, after a short illness bravely fought, Tom died peacefully at University Hospital Galway, surrounded by his heartbroken family. Predeceased by his beloved parents, Michael and Bridie.
Deeply mourned by his dearly loved wife, Dolores, much-loved son and daughter Colin and Sarah, Colin’s partner Chloë and Sarah’s partner Joe. The greatest joy for Tom this year was the safe arrival of his precious baby grandson, Jude.
Tom is also sadly missed by his siblings Jim, Ellen, Tess and Mike; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, the extended Walsh and Baker family, his neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at St. Anthony’s Room, within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra, on Friday 10 May, 2024 from 4.30 p.m. Removal into the Church at 6.00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tom on Saturday, 11 May at 12 noon. Following Mass, he will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.
Tom’s caring nature was a beacon of strength and kindness for so many.
His light will continue to burn brightly through the lives of everyone he knew.
