Tony Smith

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Smith, Coogan Park, Newcastle, on Saturday 24 May, 2025.

Tony passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the care of the staff of the ICU Ward, Galway University Hospital.

Predeceased by his parents Bill and Rhia and brother David.

 

He will be forever missed by his loving wife Annette, daughters Donna, Mandy and Steph, sons Tony and David, grandchildren Ashleigh, Amy, Dylan. Katelyn, Daniel, Dean, David, Conor, Rían and Aoibhe, great- grandchildren Laura and Robyn, sons and daughter-in-law Alan, James and Colleen.

Fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many many good friends.

Reposing at the O' Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Wednesday, 28 May 2025

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Tony at St. Joseph's Church, Presentation Road on arrival at 11.00 a.m.

Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery.

The family deeply appreciate your kindness and support at this time. We wish to thank all who cared for Tony during his illness. Finally, a special word of thanks to our wonderful family, neighbours and friends for all they have done to help us in these difficult days.
