Trude VISSER

Trude passed away peacefully on October 10th in Foxrock Nursing home where she had been well looked after. Predeceased by her husband Nol Visser. Trude will be sadly missed by her children Maarten and Piet, their spouses Dorothy and Brook, along with her grandchildren Heather, Anna, Emma, Eli and Erin and her great-grandchildren Morris and Ayla.

Trude was born in Norway, emigrated to USA in the mid 1950’s where she met and married her late husband Nol and where she had her children. In 1969 they all emigrated to Ireland and settled in Dalkey. Trude became very active in the Dalkey School project, worked with Nuala Fennell on women’s rights, was involved in the Scandinavian society and became President of the American Women’s Club in Dublin. She was passionate about art, music, family and life and had an impact on all who knew her.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd at 3pm at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray.
