Una Murphy

Murphy Una, (13th April 2026) late of Clondalkin, Dublin 22, former Matron of the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street, former Matron of the Irish Franciscan Pilgrimage to Lourdes and former member of the Secular Franciscan Order, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold's Cross, surrounded by her loving family.

Una will be deeply missed by her nephew Pat and niece Anne, Pat’s wife Kathryn, Anne’s husband John, grandnieces and grandnephews Jack, Doireann, Eva, Sean and Orla, friends, neighbours, former colleagues and all those who cared for her.

May her gentle soul rest in peace

Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Monastery Road, Clondalkin (D22 K602) on Tuesday from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11.30am in St Michael's Church, Blackrock, Co Cork (T12 A020) followed by burial in St Michael’s Cemetery.
