Una Sweeney (née Doyle)

Late of Nazareth House, Dublin 3 and formerly, Kelly's Bay, Skerries and Glendown, Templeogue

Una passed very peacefully in Beaumont Hospital, surrounded by her loving family On Saturday 17th January 2026.

 

Una will be lovingly remembered by her children, Donal, Róisín, Dermot, Seán and Orla; her brother Paddy; her daughters-in-law Louise, Andrea and Leila; her sons-in-law Jörg and Eoghan; and her grandchildren Micheál, Cian, Eoin, Cónall, Éabha, Rónan, Seán, Ciarán and Joseph. Una will be fondly remembered by her extended family, neighbours and friends.

 

The Sweeney family would like to thank with great appreciation all the medical and care personnel who looked after Una so well over the last number of years; especially the Pioneer home carers, and in recent weeks and months the staff of Beaumont Hospital and Nazareth House Nursing Home.

The family also wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all who have offered their sympathy and support during this difficult time.

 

May her gentle soul rest peacefully.

 

Una will be reposing in Lannon's Funeral Home, Skerries (K34 EP94) on Friday 23rd January from 6pm until 8pm. Una’s Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday 24th January at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, Skerries. Immediately afterwards, Una's remains will be cremated at Dardistown Crematorium, Cloghran.
