Valentine (Val) Maguire, Cullies, Cavan and late of Bundoran, Co Donegal. (Retired Chief Fire Officer, Cavan) Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital. Pre-deceased by his loving wife Bernadette, daughter Jenny, son-in-law Gerry O'Brien. Beloved father of Isabel, Garret, and Nessa, devoted grandfather of Conal O'Brien and Gleb Maguire. Sadly missed by his loving son, daughters, daughter-in-law Natalia, grandchildren, brother Kevin, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at his home tomorrow, Thursday, from 5.00pm until 9.00pm. Removal on Friday morning, at 11.00am to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick and Felim, Cavan, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan-Monaghan Palliative Care, through the donation box provided, or to Declan Finnegan, Funeral Director, or any family member.
