Valerie Henry (née Moody), Shraigh East, Bunnahowen, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar surrounded by her loving family on 25thFebruary 2025.

Predeceased by her parents George and Violet Moody and her recently deceased brother Brian.

Beloved wife of John, loving mother to Jimmy, dear mother in law to Angela and adored grandmother to Oisín, Ryan and Saoirse. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, son, daughter in law, grandchildren, relatives, former colleagues at the Belmullet Community Hospital, neighbours and many friends.

May Her Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 5.30 until 7.30. Funeral will arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Glencastle on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Sunday at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing on Sunday evening at 7 o’clock
