The death has occurred unexpectedly at her home on 9th August 2024 of Valerie Kavanagh née Smyth, Glenfort, Castlebar and formerly of Main Street, Swinford.

Predeceased by her father Jim and sister Maura.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband Tom; her sons Thomas and Joe; her daughter Claire; her mother Kitty Smyth; her cherished grandchildren Caitlin, Thomas, Callum, Ryan and Fia; her sisters Jenny, and Vanessa; her brother Bernard; her daughter-in-law Lisa ; her brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Valerie will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, F23 HT38, on Monday 12th August from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

Removal from Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Tuesday morning, arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.00am, followed by removal to Shannon Crematorium for service at 3.00pm.

The Funeral Mass can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm and it will be live streamed on www.churchtv.ie/castlebar. The Cremation Service will be live streamed on www.shannoncrematorium.com Password: MVKK3
