The death has occurred of
Valerie McCarthy
McCarthy (Knockbrogan, Bandon) on October 13th 2025, peacefully in Cork University Hospital, in the presence of her loving family. Valerie, beloved wife of Sean and adored mother of Cindy, Pamela and Donna. Predeceased by her siblings Kathleen, Margaret, Martin and Michael.
Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughters, sons-in-law Sidney, Glen and Conor, grandchildren Courtney, Morgan, Jorja, Madison, Finn, Willow, Layney, Devon, Aria and Zack, sisters Marion and Angela, brothers Don and Ray, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Valerie will be lying in repose at her home in No. 3 Knockbrogan (eircode P72F867) on Wednesday from 5pm followed by prayers at 7pm. (All welcome).
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 2pm in St. Patrick's Church, Bandon (family will be in attendance from 1.30pm) which will be livestreamed on www.bandonparish.ie/live, after which Valerie will be laid to rest in the adjoining Cemetery.
