It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vera Duignan (née McGennis), who left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, on Friday, December 6th, 2024.

Vera was predeceased by her beloved husband, George, her cherished daughter Miriam, and her dear grandson Kenneth.

Vera’s memory will forever be treasured by her daughters Joan and Yvonne, her son Kenneth, and her adored grandchildren Mark, Michelle, Ciara, Sean, Eoghan, Ciarán, Niamh, Connor, and Shane, as well as her great-grandchildren Zach, Zoe, Mateo, Eli, Heidi, and Kaius. Her family was her greatest joy, and her home was a place of warmth, kindness, and countless cherished moments.

She will also be deeply missed by her sons-in-law Norman, Derek, and Ian, her daughter-in-law Christine, her many nieces and nephews, her lifelong friends, and neighbours who were an integral part of her life.

Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Reposing at her residence Abbeylands, Navan C15 W9V0 on Monday from 4pm until 8pm. Arriving to St. Mary's Church, Navan on Tuesday morning for 10am Funeral Mass, which can be viewed live on http://www.navanparish.ie/livestream . Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Boyne Road.
