Vera died peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Mullingar Regional Hospital on 22/01/2026. Predeceased by her infant son Brendan-James, her parents James and May, sister Concepta and brother-in-law Pat. Vera will be sadly missed and forever remembered with love by her family, husband John-Joe, sons Robert, Adrian and Fintan, daughter-in-law Brid, Fintan's partner Michelle, sisters Annette (Athenry), Joan Lynch (Killucan, Westmeath), sisters-in-law Mary and Katriona, niece and nephews Assumpta, Ciaran and Declan, relatives, neighbours and her many life long friends.

Reposing on Saturday 24th in St. Oliver's Church, Cullyfad from 5 o'clock with prayers 7 o'clock. Removal from her home on Sunday 25th to arrive to St. Oliver's Church, Cullyfad for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Following Mass, Vera will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donation if desired to a charity of your choice c/o Connell Funeral Directors or any family member.
