The death has occurred of

Very Rev Canon Tom Ryan, A.P. Murroe Boher Parish, Co Limerick.

Formerly of Shanbally, Rearcross, Co Tipperary.

Fr. Tom passed away on 29th January 2026, peacefully, in the care of the staff at Nenagh Hospital.

Predeceased by his brothers Br. Owen, PJ, Martin, Joe and Fr John.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sister Mary Quigley (Moneygall), brother-in-law Martin, sister-in-law Margaret, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, priests & religious in Cashel and Emly diocese, staff and residents of St Anthony’s Nursing Home, cousins, relatives, parishioners and a large circle of friends.

Rest in Peace

Fr. Tom will be reposing in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Murroe, Co Limerick on Saturday 31st January from 3pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday 1st February at 2pm, which will be streamed here, burial afterwards in Abington Cemetery.
