The death has occurred of
Very Rev. Fr. Leo McDonnell
Very Rev. Fr. Leo McDonnell (late St. John’s Cathedral, Limerick and St. Michael’s Church, Denmark Street and formerly of Barrington Street).
12th April 2025, peacefully in the wonderful care of Milford Care Centre.
Predeceased by his parents Dr. Leo and Margaret and sisters Moira (Fitzgerald) and Leonie (MacCarvill) and brother Charlie. Sadly missed by his loving brother-in-law David, nephews, nieces, Bishop Brendan Leahy and the priests of the diocese, his cousin Fr. Luke McNamara (Glenstal), extended family and a wide circle of friends.
May he Rest in Peace
Reposing at St. John’s Cathedral on Monday evening (14th April) from 7pm to 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (15th April) at 12 noon with burial afterwards in Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery.
