McAteer (Barnmeen) September 12th, 2021. Peacefully at Rathfriland Manor Care Home, Very. Rev. Fr. Tom, Barnmeen Parochial House, Drumgath Parish and formerly of O’Neill Avenue, Newry.
May he Rest In Peace.
Removal from Barnmeen Parochial House on Monday at 6pm to St Colman’s Church, Barnmeen. His remains will repose until 10pm. Funeral on Tuesday at 11.15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Chapel Street, Newry. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing nieces, nephews, wider family circle, Archbishop Eamon Martin, Bishop John McAreavey, the Priests and Religious of the Diocese and the parishioners of Drumgath and Mayobridge parishes, also the other parishes where Fr Tom served.
