Very Rev. Tom O'Connor

Very Rev. Tom O’Connor of The Diocese of Leeds and formerly of Lissereen, Abbeydorney, Co. Kerry.

 

Canon Tom died peacefully on Tuesday 24th March, 2026, at his home in Otley, Yorkshire.

 

Predeceased by his parents John and Julia (née Shanahan), brothers Donal and Denis, brother-in-law Den Leen, sisters-in-law Betty O’Connor and Sheila O’Connor and nephew J.J. O’Connor.

 

Sadly missed by his brother Gerard, his sisters Eilish Leen (Ardfert), Sr. Mary Teresa (Brentford, U.K.), sister-in-law Phil, nieces, nephews, relatives, The Clergy of the Diocese of Leeds and Kerry and a large circle of friends and parishioners.

Funeral arriving to Our Lady & All Saints Church, Otley on Friday April 10th at 7.30 p.m.

 

Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday April 11th at 12 noon in St. Anne’s Cathedral, Leeds (streamed on www.leedscathedrallive.org.uk)

 

Requiem Mass will also be celebrated for Canon Tom in St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeydorney on Saturday April 18th at 11.00 a.m. (streamed on http://www.churchmedia.tv/st-bernards-church-abbeydorney) Interment afterwards in Kyrie Eleison Abbey Cemetery, Abbeydorney.
