VERY REVEREND CANON KEVIN EARLEY

 

Retired Parish Priest of Frenchpark and Ballinagare, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Summerhill College, Sligo and Ballymoe, Co. Galway. June 10th, 2020.

(Peacefully) at Drumderrig Nursing Home, Boyle, surrounded by family.

 

Deeply mourned by his sister-in-law Gretta, nephew Kevin, relatives,

Bishop Kevin Doran and the priests, religious and people of the diocese of Elphin, former colleagues and students and a wide circle of friends.

 

Requiescat In Pace.

 

Canon Earley will lie in private repose at The Sharkey Funeral Home, Frenchpark.  Removal to St. Asicus’ Church, Frenchpark on Saturday arriving for a 12 noon Mass of the Resurrection followed by interment in Oran cemetery, (via Ballymoe), however due to the current situation Canon Earley’s Funeral will take place privately.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at a later date.

Funeral Cortege Details 

Canon Earley's funeral cortege will leave the grounds of The Church of the Sacred Heart, Ballinagare on Saturday, June 13th at 10.15am. We will continue on to The Sharkey Funeral Home, Frenchpark where Canon Earley will lie in private repose until 11.50am. His coffin will then be carried, shoulder high, to St. Asicus’ Church (across the road from the funeral home) arriving for Mass at 12noon. The funeral mass will be live streamed (Viewable via link https://www.farewellfilms.ie/sat-13th-june-2020)

After the funeral mass the cortege will travel to Castlerea, passing Frenchpark Post Office and turning left at the Garda Station. From Castlerea, we will travel on to Ballymoe and then to Oran cemetery where Canon Earley will be laid to rest in the family plot.

If you would like to pay your respects along the way, please join the static Guard's of Honour as the funeral cortege makes its way.

Please ensure you maintain the recommended social distancing at all times keeping to the 2 metre apart guideline.
