Vincent O'Mahony

O’MAHONY (Camus, Clonakilty & formerly of Cooladreen, Leap): on March 7th 2024 at his son's residence and in the presence of his family, in his 96th year. VINCENT, beloved husband of the late Mary (nee O’Sullivan), dearly loved father of Kay (O’Flynn), Lynn (Barry), Bernice (O’Neill), Tadhg and Paula (Dooley), devoted and cherished daughter-in-law Bríd, father-in-law to Jimmy, John, Damian and the late Denis, dear brother of Vera (McCarthy), Teresa (Collins) and the late Seán, Mary (O’Donovan) and Nellie (Lawlor), sister-in-law Nora (Nevin) and Kay's partner Timmy. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, grandchildren Emma, Colin, Chloe, Orla, Aaron, Megan, Cathal, Karen, Fiona, James, John, Séan, Kevin, Brian, Ciarán, Tadhg, Deirdre, Cáit, Uinseann, Brehon, Aisling, Liam, Conor and Cian, great-grandchildren Donnacha, Caelen and Ellen, sisters, Godchildren, nephews, nieces, Cahermore Ploughing Association and many close neighbours, friends and relatives.

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty on Sunday, March 10th 2024 from 3pm to 5.30pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday, March 11th 2024 at 12 noon in St. Fachtna’s Church, Rosscarbery. This will be livestreamed here. Funeral afterwards to Lisavaird Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Bantry General Hospital for their fantastic care and attention given to dad over the last 2 weeks and to offer our most sincere gratitude for the wonderful support of our good neighbour Noreen, the home helps, our fantastic public health nurses and the Palliative Care Team that allowed us to bring dad back home for his final few days.
