SAVINO, Vincent (Maj Gen), 28th August 2022, Fernhill Park, Manor Estate, D. 12, requisite of Irish Defence Forces, Irish United Nations Veterans Association, Nobel Peace Prize Recipient for Service to the United Nations, Past President of Wanderers RFC, Past President of Clontarf Cricket Club, Past President of Irish Epilepsy Association, VEC and North Strand Tutor. Peacefully at home in the wonderful care of his loving family and carers. Beloved husband and best friend of Catherine (Kate) for 65 years, loving father of Gina, Anna, Rosa, Caterina, Elena and Franz. Predeceased by his dear sister Marie. Vincent will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife and family, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, relatives and friends.

 

Vincent will be remembered for the lives he touched not only in Ireland but all over the World by the contribution he made to the United Nations and numerous associations.

Reposing at his residence on Tuesday evening from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Kimmage Manor, D12 WP44, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 am. Cremation Service thereafter at the Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome. Those who cannot attend Vincent’s Funeral Mass, you can watch by clicking here.
