Peacefully in the Claddagh Ward, University Hospital, Galway surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents, Walter and Ellen, Twin baby daughters, Paula and Majella, sister’s Maureen, Cath, Brid, Pexie, Frances, Nuala and brother Alick.

 

Beloved husband of Noreen, devoted Dad to Noel and Ailish, daughter- in- law Aoife and son- in- law John.

 

Walter will be sadly missed by his adored grandchildren, Ryan, Leah, Matthew, Conor, Lexi, Adam, John’s son Jason, his brother’s Sean and Tommy, sister Patty, sisters- in- law, brothers- in- law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

 

May Walter’s kind and gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Walter will repose at his home in Kilbeg, Monivea, Athenry, Co. Galway. (H65 H738) on Sunday, April 19th. 2026, from 5–7 pm. Private removal on Monday morning April 20th. 2026. to St Jarlath’s Church, Skehana for Requiem Mass at 12 noon with Burial afterwards in Doonane Cemetery.

 

 

House private on Monday morning. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Galway Hospice.
