Predeceased by brothers, Larry and John Hearne, sisters, Cissy (Kath) Walsh, Alice Dolan, Margaret Gunner, Eileen Orban, Cousin Joannie Cummins, nephews Ronnie Dolan, Waterford and Bill Dolan, Rathnew, Wicklow.

William known as “Big Billy” died peacefully under the expert care of the Farronshoneen Ward, St. Patrick’s Hospital, Johns Hill, Waterford. Aged 96 years. In his working life, he was a Vehicle Assembly worker at General Motors, Luton. He was known for his fine tenor voice and harmonica music. Later years he happily retired to his family home in Waterford.

Big Billy is lovingly remembered by his nieces, Maria Troy (nee Dolan), Kilkenny, Carl Lusby (née Dolan), Rathfarnham, Dublin, nieces-in-law Rosaleen and Kathleen Dolan, great-nieces Siobhan Dolan, Carol O’Regan, cousins; the Anthony’s in Mullinavat, extended family, relatives, and friends.

May Billy Rest in Peace and sing songs in Heaven.

Cremation will take place privately.

A celebration of Billy’s life will take place at Thompsons Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on the 16th December at 12 noon.
