WILLIAM (BILL) CALLAGHAN

WILLIAM (BILL) CALLAGHAN (of Waters Brink, East Ferry, Midleton) passed away peacefully on Sunday December 7th 2025 in the excellent care of the staff at St. Mary’s Ward, Mercy University Hospital, Cork.

He was perhaps best known to many for his contribution to printing and publishing as owner of Litho Press and to education as a former teacher at CBS Secondary School, Midleton.

Beloved husband of Mary O’Callaghan (née Fleming) and adored father of Paul and Clara.

Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren; Eoin, Ronan, Katie, Amelie, Darragh, Rosie, Evan and Elise.

Bill will also be fondly remembered by his sister Kathleen, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his parents James and Ellen and his siblings John, Michael, Mary and Gerard.

At his own request, an intimate cremation service with close family took place on Tuesday December 9th.

There will be a memorial service in one month for family and friends to gather and remember and celebrate Bill’s life.
