May He Rest In Peace

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Patient Comfort Fund, St Joseph's Lisdarn, care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Directors or any family member.

The support shown to the family at this very sad time by Dad's sister Rose and brothers Charlie, Mick, Francis and Joe, has been greatly appreciated.

The first time Dad saw mam it was love at first sight ...he was home on leave from the army where he served with The Suffolks and East Anglian Regiments. He married mam at the earliest opportunity... next year they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, even in death he could not bear to be apart from his best friend.

Dad worked as a painter and decorator for most of his working life ..towards his retirement he enjoyed a new career in an Bord Pleanala ...He made the happy decision with mam to relocate to Cavan where they were both welcomed into the communities of Rocklands and Drumalee .

He was very happy to engage in the voluntary services for retired people including The Help The Aged Hotline he served as Chairman in the John Sullivan and Tenants Groups.
